Sleeping: Print List
- Sleeping bag
- Pillow
- Ground pad or cot
- Pajamas
(our troop provides tents, but you're welcome to bring your own)
Clothes:
Going to and from camps we will wear our green t's, so if we stop somewhere people know who we are and we can stick together.
- Green Troop shirts
- Class "A"
- Clean socks and underwear
- Sufficient pairs of clean pants
- Some kind of jacket
- Rain gear (troop offers ponchos for purchase)
- Swim trunks
- Sneakers or hiking boots
- Hat/Sunglasses
Mess Kit:
The troop also provides mess kits for purchase. If you don't have one here's what you'll need.
You may bring your own food and drink as long as it's properly marked and stored. We DO NOT allow food or drink in the tents because it attracts pests.
Personal Items:
- Toothbrush and Toothpaste
- Washcloth and Towel
- Comb
- Soap and Shampoo
- Perscription Meds.(must notify the scoutmaster of meds. and dosage requirements)
Miscellaneous:
- Flashlight/Batteries
- Knife (remove from pocket before returning to school!!) and Totin Chip
- Fire starting equiptment and Fireman Chit (troop provides this equiptment, although it's handy to have if you go on a personal campout)
- Compass
- Watch
- Pen and Notebook
- Canteen
- Camera/Film
- Boy Scout Handbook
- Fishing Gear (if desired)
- Wallet/reasonable amount of cash
- First aid and emergency kit
- Suntan lotion/bug spray
- Camp stool-especially for longer camps
- Emergency numbers
DON'T BRING:
Scouting provides experiences different than normal. For the youngster to gain as much as he can from the experience. We deeply ask you not to bring the following.
- Toys
- Electronics (including game boys or other electronic games)
- Magic Cards
- Radios
- CD Players
- Cassete Recorders
- Laser Pointers
- Or any other item that might distract the scout
